Rach'soldatii

The Rach'soldatii are an (in)famous elite military group. They are not part of the regular armed forces and do not answer to them. Because of this, some consider the Rach'soldatii to be a militant group.

Purpose
The Rach'soldatii were originally founded by Rach'tsjadi, who also developed most of the martial arts taught there. She laid out the organizations purpose as follows: "The Rach'soldatii are the servants of all Tarran'chi, regardless of political and social standing. We are to defend our kind from any and all that threaten it, be it from outside or within. We will defend it to the death". The first part in particular is not liked by many within the ruling classes of the Tarran'chi, But because of high laws, they are required to allow one Rach'soldat within their organization, if the Rach'soldatii desire this.
An independant fighting force, the Rach'soldatii are free of meddling from any higherups outside of their organisation, and they take it upon themselves to battle threats that the regular armed forces are unable to dispose of. More controversially, they are believed to be responsible for the assasinations of quite a number of corrupt officials and even the occassional noble, although no real evidence of this has ever been found.
Structure
Because They are not part of the military, The Rach'soldatii command structure is different from it. There are 3 main groups: the Barakti Mortis, the Meldarrin and the Acadi Madarana. Each group is divided in subgroups. These subgroups consist of 6 to 10 rach'soldattii, with a revolving leadership. Each subgroup answers to its respective main group, lead by a subcommandant, who is chosen from among the members of that group, usually the most talented from the group is chosen. Every 3 years, a supreme leader is chosen from these 3 subcommandantii by means of a 3-way battle. It is a myth that these battles are to the death, but many normal Tarran'chi believe this to be true.
Relationship with outside organisations
As said before, the Rach'soldatii work entirely independant of other organizations, although many of its members were former Soldats. Officially, the Rach'soldatii do not favour specific groups, but they have close ties with the Goathicus noblehouse through Kazmath and they behold the Zech'kahdon Institute of Magecraft with suspisious eyes, mainly because of the amount of secrecy surrounding the academy.
