Domains & Government
Tarran'chians are ruled over by a passive, never-seen overlord, with the result that most power lies in the hands of the noble Lords and ladies of the 1st order. The actual type of government varies with each domain (a region ruled over by a specific family), which is largly dependent on the personalities of those in the 1st order.
Each of the Noble families rules over a certain region, a domain:

Culture
Tarran'chian culture is very diverse. Each domain has its own customs, although Charr na Tarran'chi is a place where all these customs blend together. One point the domains share is that leadership belongs to the noblehouses.
Titles
The Tarran'chi have many titles for their officials. Listed in this article are a few of them.
Noble titles
Noblehouses know 3 different orders.
- Ark'nagath - (m) high ruler over a domain
- Nan'rasha - (f) high ruler over a domain
- Ark'nanith - (m) ruler of the 2nd order
- Nan'rinda - (f) ruler of the 2nd order
- Ark'tusha - (m) ruler of the 3rd order
- Nan'kasha - (f) ruler of the 3rd order
Magocratic titles
- Magus - respected spellcaster
Military titles
- Soldat - an unranking soldier
- Rach'Soldat - elite soldier, belonging to the Rach'soldatii
- Tusha Soldat - soldier, 3rd class
- Nanith Soldat - soldier, 2nd class
- Nagath Soldat - soldier, 1st class
- Commandant - commander of a battalion.
Companionship
The Tarran'chi have a fairly wide way of describing romantic relationships.
- Stricken - a person in love, used when it is not known if love is requited.
- Courtmates - courting state, similar to having a boy/girlfriend
- Bloodbound - a state between boy/girlfriend and being engaged, sometimes done through the ritual of binding of the blood, although this is no social requirement.
- Mindbound - similar to being engagement, done through the ritual of binding of the mind
- Lifebound - similar to being married, done through the ritual of binding of the life
- Soulbound - The highest state of marriage, which binds the souls of the two, even after death. Done through the ritual of binding of the souls. Although not very common, it is a requirement for all noble marriages.
